- 01How are referrals tracked?
- Through Shoffi. When a merchant clicks your referral link and installs Lokalize from the same device within 30 days, the install is credited to you. Shoffi reads installs and charges from Shopify's partner data, so referrals normally appear in your dashboard within 24 hours.
- 02How do I get credit for installing Lokalize on a client's store?
- Open your referral link in the same browser you use for the client's Shopify admin, then install Lokalize from there within 30 days. Credit comes only from your link: installs made without it can't be added afterwards, so use the link every time.
- 03Do I earn on stores using the free plan?
- Not while they're free — 20% of $0 is $0. But the referral is yours: the moment that store upgrades to any paid plan, your commission starts and continues for as long as they pay.
- 04What does lifetime actually mean?
- You earn on every recurring plan subscription the referred store pays for Lokalize — monthly or annual, on any plan — for as long as the store stays a paying customer and you remain in the program. If they upgrade, you earn more. One-time purchases, such as extra word packs, don't earn commission. There's no cap on referrals or earnings.
- 05When and how do I get paid?
- Once your unpaid commission reaches $25, request a payout in Shoffi. We pay within 30 days via PayPal, or to a bank or Wise account if we agree on that with you in advance. All payouts are in US dollars.
- 06Can I run paid ads?
- Yes, with one exception: don't bid on Lokalize or WaySilver brand terms in search ads, and don't run ads that look like they come from us. Everything else — your own content, reviews, comparisons, newsletters — is fair game.
- 07Do I need to be a Lokalize customer?
- No. It helps to know the product so you can recommend it honestly, and we're happy to set you up with a demo store, but it isn't required. Referring your own stores doesn't earn commission.
